      Increase funding for the National Family Caregiver Support Program and the Alzheimer’s Disease Program Initiative. Increase access to affordable caregiver services and supports and ensure such services and supports are made available to a comprehensive range of family caregivers as described in the Older Americans Act.   Caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias provide care for a longer duration than caregivers of people with other types of conditions (79% versus 66%).
